On April 22-23, 2023, in the swimming pool of Yu. Horayskyi Sports School in Ternopil, an open charity swimming tournament “OTTER PROJECT” was held, at which UAH 62,000 was collected for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At these competitions, the team of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University won the 2nd prize in the 4 by 50 metre freestyle relay (mixed) in the absolute category. The TNMU team consisted of 2nd-year student Serhii Ostroushko (MM-205), 1st-year student Uliana Poberezhnyk (MM-107), intern doctor Anastasia Barabash (Department of Therapy and Family Medicine, Faculty of Postgraduate Education) and Viktor Nazaruk (Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Education). Athletes also performed successfully in the individual numbers of the program. In particular, Uliana Poberezhnyk won 3 second prizes at distances of 50 and 100 metres breaststroke and 50 metres backstroke; Anastasia Barabash 2 third prizes at distances of 50 and 100 metres breaststroke; Viktor Nazaruk 2 third prizes in the 50-metre freestyle and 50-metre backstroke and second prize in the 100-metre backstroke.
